EXCLUSIONS
Any alteration of the piece of jewelry by a third party individual unrelated to us will void the warranty and we will not be held responsible for the integrity of the jewelry. All precious metals and fine jewelry can be affected by normal wear and tear, activities or damage caused by trauma. Rings are especially susceptible, since hands are frequently subject to use and activity. The warranty does not cover damage due to regular wear and tear, product loss, stone loss or theft. In addition, damage due to failure to obtain repairs necessary to preserve the integrity of the item are not covered.
Instances of jewelry issues that would not be considered a manufacturing defect include:
- Discoloration of precious metals that can be caused by chemicals, make-up, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
- Wear and tear of precious metals, and especially prongs can occur and may require restoration.
- Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage, allowing a diamond or gemstone to fall out.
- The loss of a diamond/gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.
- The loss of a center stone, such as a diamond is not covered under the , warranty. Center stone loss may be covered under your Home Owners Insurance policy. Please note that a separate insurance rider may be required to fully cover all of your fine jewelry pieces.
